Roberto Alomar's Chicken Burger

Ingredients: 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, including juice - 1/4 cup soy sauce - 2 tbsp vegetable oil - 1 tbsp brown sugar - 1 tsp garlic powder - 2 tbsp finely chopped ginger - 2 tbsp white wine or lemon juice - generous grinding of black pepper - 4 boneless chicken breasts skin removed - 4 whole wheat sesame hamburger buns, toasted - lettuce and tomatoes

Directions: In a medium-sized bowl, combine all ingredients except chicken, buns, lettuce and tomatoes, until well blended. Add chicken to soy mixture. Cover and refrigerate 4 to 6 hours. Remove chicken from soy mixture. Place on barbecue for about 4 to 5 minutes per side, basting occasionally with marinade. Slice chicken breasts into 1-inch strips, or serve whole in toasted buns, along with lettuce and tomatoes.
