Randy's Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich

Here is another recipe which is a hit with the staff at work. It's very quick and easy and goes well with french fries or a salad. It takes about 15 minutes to prepare this. The recipe below is for one order. Double the recipe for two people. Triple it for three people, etc...

Ingredients:
- one six-inch sub bun
- one chunk thinly sliced steak (large enough to almost cover the bun)
- enough garlic butter to spread on both sides of the bun (recipe appears below)
- half a medium onion
- two regular-sized button mushrooms
- thinly sliced swiss cheese
- one quarter cup cooking oil

Directions:
Toss the steak onto a pre-heated grill. (If you don't have access to a grill you can fry the steak, although the taste is better grilled.
While the steak is cooking, throw onions and mushrooms into a pre-heated frying pan, containing one quarter cup of cooking oil.
Cut the sub bun lengthwise. Spread garlic butter on both sides. Toast both sides to desired doneness in a salamander (if you have one) or toaster oven or oven on broil.
After steak, onions and mushrooms are cooked to your specifications place the steak on the bottom of the toasted sub bun. Spread the onions and mushrooms on top. Cover it with thinly sliced swiss cheese. Melt the cheese in your toaster oven or oven. Place the top on. Stick a tooth pick through each end of the bun. Cut it in half. Serve and enjoy.

Randy's Garlic Butter: 1 cup softened butter or margarine, 6 cloves garlic (minced), 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice, 1/4 teaspoon worchestershire sauce, 1/2 tablespoon dried parsley flakes. Put all ingredients into a bowl. Mix thoroughly with a fork. Refrigerate garlic butter not used in above recipe. It works great for making garlic bread.
